The 7th Regional ICT event of “FEMMES DIGITALES” Public Union was held in Ismayilli city.
On December 10, 2022, the subsequent 7th Regional ICT event of “FEMMES DIGITALES” Public Association: “Supporting Women in TECH” – was held with the crucial support of the Presidential Administration, Agency on the State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations, and Ismayilli District Executive Authority. On a regular basis the support was provided by Rəqəmsal İnkişaf və Nəqliyyat Nazirliyi – The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Ministry of Science and Education Republic of Azerbaijan .
The ultimate goal of holding these events is to attract Azerbaijani girls from the regions to the field of information and communication technologies and to increase involvement percentage. Events are conducted on a charitable purpose and have already involved more than 700 girls from various regions of Azerbaijan.
More than 70 female students from different schools of Ismayilli city and its surrounding villages participated in the event held at the Heydar Aliyev Center along with the council and board members of “FEMMES DIGITALES” – executives and experts in the field of ICT in Azerbaijan.
During the first stage, FEMMES DIGITALES shared the oppotunities of using information technologies, as well as the representative of PASHA Bank OJSC, Ms. Lala Azizli shared her valuable ideas about design thinking, the formation and implementation of innovative ideas. At the next stage, schoolgirls presented their original projects and plans for their implementation in teams. In the practical sessions, the girls got acquainted with the basics of coding and robotics with the help of STEP IT Academy Azerbaijan mentors.
At the end of the event, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Fominov Consulting LLC, and Cybernet LLC companies, schoolgirls were presented with diplomas and souvenirs. New rollups and diplomas were funded by USAID Private Sector Activity.
