On May 20, The Hill restaurant hosted the event “Cyber Resilience and Business Continuity”, during which representatives of Commvault and Pure Storage told guests about their cooperation in this area. The event was organized by one of the leading system integrators in the Azerbaijan market – FOMİNOV CONSULTİNG and the international distributor of IT solutions and cybersecurity – Fortis Distribution. The participants of the seminar were IT experts and business representatives who are interested in protecting their business from downtime associated with the growing level of cyber threats.

The guests of the event were greeted by FOMİNOV CONSULTİNG Director Ayten Mustafayeva, who handed the floor over to Pure Storage Vice President in the METCA region (Middle East, Central Asia and Turkey) Omar Akar. A representative of a leading manufacturer of data storage systems noted that cyberattacks have increasingly led to downtime and seriously affect the reputation of enterprises. Therefore, companies are looking for solutions for secure data storage that combine protection and rapid recovery from attacks. “The partnership between Commvault and Pure Storage allows customers to confidently protect their most valuable data, ensuring business continuity in current conditions and scalability to meet future needs,” said Omar Akar.

The official part of the event continued with a presentation by Commvault technical expert Dmitry Ivanyuk, who spoke about the nuances of effective integration of Commvault’s data recovery solution with Pure Storage storage systems, which provides fundamental protection of critical enterprise assets. The solution focuses on risk management in three key areas: protection, detection and recovery from incidents. The protection functionality is based on the concept of “zero trust” and ensures the protection of critical backups through advanced authentication, including multi-user, data encryption in storage environments and blocking mechanisms. In addition, Commvault technology provides immutability features across storage tiers for both hardware and software solutions. Commvault offers proactive risk detection, AI-based anomaly detection, and cyber protection technology. This solution provides an early warning system that allows organizations to coordinate incidents and effectively restore data from clean backups. Commvault also offers its customers separate testing environments on request through its own Cleanroom Recovery solution.

Alexander Kuzmin, Systems Engineering Manager of Pure Storage in the Turkey and CIS region, noted that the combination of Pure Storage and Commvault provides a reliable, proven solution for modern data protection tasks. By integrating Pure Storage FlashBlade systems with Commvault’s advanced data protection solutions, organizations receive a powerful, scalable, and easy-to-deploy system designed to protect mission-critical applications and data. “Pure Storage’s high-performance FlashBlade architecture enables fast backup and recovery operations, while Commvault’s industry-leading data management software offers advanced features including compression, deduplication, and ransomware protection. Together, they enable companies to meet strict recovery SLAs, handle growing data volumes, and be confident that their data is protected and recoverable,” said Alexander Kuzmin. It was also noted that

the companies’ cooperation allows customers to benefit from best practices such as reduced complexity, seamless integration, which optimize the performance and efficiency of business processes. With Pure Storage and Commvault, you can achieve comprehensive data protection, optimize IT operations, and increase resilience to evolving threats, making this an indispensable choice for modern data-driven enterprises. At the end of the presentations, representatives of Pure Storage and Commvault were able to demonstrate the solution using real examples on test equipment and clearly show the advantages of the joint offer.

We also note that within the framework of this event, an exhibition of children’s drawings and paintings was organized as a sign of support by FOMINOV CONSULTING for children’s talents and initiatives. Their works were presented by Daria Dmitriyeva (14 years old), Elina Khalilova (13 years old), Farah Mustafayeva (10 years old) and Surayya Mammadzade (9 years old).

The event ended with a group photo shoot against the backdrop of the Caspian Sea and a dinner accompanied by a musical and entertainment program.
