FOMINOV CONSULTING Introduced Customers to Nutanix’s Latest Solutions

On June 30, a private event organized by FOMINOV CONSULTING for its customers took place at Shirvanshah restaurant. The meeting was dedicated to modern approaches to building and modernizing IT infrastructure, the development of hybrid cloud environments, and the capabilities of the Nutanix platform in addressing current business challenges amid rapid digital transformation.
The event partner was Nutanix, one of the global leaders in virtualization and hybrid multicloud solutions, as well as the creator of the hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) concept. During the meeting, participants learned about modern technologies that simplify IT environment management, improve service resilience, and prepare infrastructure for cloud and AI workloads.
The keynote presentation, “Innovate. Modernize. Run Better with Nutanix,” was delivered by Denys Lapach, Nutanix Territory Account Manager for Ukraine and CIS countries. During his presentation, he spoke about the current challenges faced by IT directors and digital transformation leaders, including growing infrastructure complexity, the need to ensure fault tolerance, migration to hybrid clouds, and the impact of changes in the virtualization market.
Special attention was given to the advantages of Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI), which combines computing resources, data storage systems, virtualization, and network services into a unified software-defined platform. Participants were also introduced to the capabilities of Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP), Nutanix Database Service (NDB), Nutanix Unified Storage (NUS), and the Nutanix Move automated migration tool, which enables workloads to be migrated to a new platform with minimal downtime.
A separate part of the event was dedicated to practical experience in implementing Nutanix technologies. Adil Mammadov, Chief Technology Officer at FOMINOV CONSULTING, delivered a presentation titled “Technical Advantages of NCI and NKP.” In his presentation, he provided a detailed overview of the architectural features of Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure and Nutanix Kubernetes Platform, focusing on building fault-tolerant infrastructure, automating resource management, and supporting modern containerized applications.
Real-life Kubernetes use cases in corporate environments were also presented, along with approaches to simplifying IT infrastructure operations and opportunities for integrating cloud-native technologies into existing enterprise systems.
According to Adil Mammadov, modern companies increasingly need to support both traditional business applications and new digital services built on microservices architecture. In such conditions, platforms capable of providing unified management of computing resources, data storage, and container environments without increasing infrastructure complexity become especially important.
The event concluded with an open discussion, during which participants discussed current issues related to IT environment modernization, migration strategies from existing virtualization platforms, and prospects for implementing hybrid cloud solutions. After the official part, guests continued networking in an informal atmosphere over dinner and a tasting of wines and strong drinks from the Azerbaijani brand Savalan.
